Designing a modular enclosure system for sensor-based hydroponic automation, balancing function, user access, and space efficiency.

User & Technical Insights

•  System required monitoring of pH, EC, and water level, water temperature, ambient temperature and humidity sensing.

•  Auto cleaning mechanism needs to be engineered to clean the pH and TDS probes after each reading to ensure correct readings. 

•  Multiple modules needed enclosure design (PCB, router, cleaning mechanism, tank ) 

•  Accessible placement was critical for wiring and maintenance 

•  Compact layout needed to fit in indoor/urban contexts
